Backlit wall and reception counter

A wall in Irish Green, bookmatched and backlit, with the reception counter cut from the same slabs. Irish Green is not a translucent stone: the light passes through it because the slab was thinned down to 5 mm with our own system, then carried by a purpose-built support structure.

The same material continues on the walls above the pool and along the pool edges: one single stone design for the whole hotel.

The same stone, two lives

Lights off it is green. Lights on it turns gold.

By day the wall stays exactly what the stone is: an Irish Green of greens and greys, with the pyramid veining of the bookmatched pair. In the evening the backlighting passes right through it and draws out the warm tones that full thickness would never let you see.
